Project description
A more than 300 million Euros worth deep grain processing plant of Agrokoncernas GDP will be built in Kursenai, in the area of the former Pavenciu sugar plant. This will probably be the first plant in Europe with such a technical process. It is planned to process about 500,000 tons of grain per year. Two main products will be produced from them – starch and gluten, as well as such by-products as bioethanol, biogas and biofertilizers.
The Designing Department of Panevezio statybos trestas AB, PST projektai, is responsible for preparation of the engineering design, upon completion and approval of which the plant construction will be started.
